Takes a few times to really understand, but it is really fun once you get the hang of it. Plus, since games are about 10 minutes each, it's easy to play as short or as long as you want.
I recently invited a group of friends over to play some 'role playing' games. We started with One Night Ultimate Werewolf (ONUM), and it was a big hit! In fact, we never got a chance to play any of the other games, because everyone wanted to keep playing ONUW.
ONUW is a quick 10-15 minute game, with lots of player interaction. There is a free app that will guide you through the game (you don't need the app to play). In the basic game, each player randomly gets a 'role card', you'll either be part of the village alliance, or the werewolf alliance. 'Night Phase' - all players close their eyes. During the night phase 'role cards' may be switched; some players may get info on other players 'roles'. Players can't look at their role card after the night phase (their alliance may have changed). 'Day Phase' - players exchange info, then the 'villagers' try to lynch a 'werewolf' to win. Of course, the werewolves will have to convince the villagers that they are also a villager.
